Halloween in Argentina
Halloween is just not as big of a deal in Argentina as it is in the States. There isn't a whole lot of Halloween stuff out, and no one really goes trick or treating. We tried to make it as festive as we could by making some Halloween decorations for our apartment as a fun activity to do with the kids, but for the most part it was a pretty mellow time. Along with the Halloween decoration we made I found really cute Halloween plates, cups and napkins that I planned to use for a Halloween party that we decided to throw for our friends here in Buenos Aires. I got them with that intention, but my husband reminded me that the party venue had all the things that we needed for the party so I didn't end up using them for that but we used them through the month of October to keep the Halloween theme going for the kids.
A Day Trip from Buenos Aires to Tigre
Let's take a day trip from Buenos Aires to Tigre! You can drive to Tigre from Buenos Aires, but you can also take the Mitre, it's about a 45 minute train ride. We arrived at the Tigre station and then took a short 15 minute walk to Puerto de Frutas. The walk is along the river with a beautiful view of the town and some of the really great things that Tigre has to offer.
Things We Needed From the States
My parents are visiting us here in Argentina! They are our first visitors which is so exciting, but it's also great because they brought some much needed necessities that we can only get in the US. We have found that some things aren't consistently available here in Argentina and some things from home we just like better, so having them brought to us was amazing!
